How to Make Foot Scrubs At Home
Three constituents are required to make any scrub – A moisturizer (coconut oil or olive oil are great to use); the sand-paper element (sugar or salt), and optional elements – such as essential oil, herbs, lemon, oats, etc.
Homemade Exfoliating Foot Scrub Using Baking Soda, Brown Sugar And Olive Oil
This exfoliating foot scrub is very easy to make that you can whip up in a few minutes only.
Take 1 tablespoon each of baking soda, brown sugar and olive oil. Mix these ingredients thoroughly just before taking shower or bath.
Scrub the mixture on your feet. You can use it on other rough areas as well, such as knees and elbows. Finish with rinsing it off completely.
Beauty Tip: Use an acrylic foot file, if you have dry heels and moisturize your dry feet with a really thick foot lotion.
DIY Coconut Oil and Sea Salt Foot Scrub
You can make a sea salt scrub using coconut oil as carrier (base) oil. You will require course sea salt, coconut oil and 3-4 drops of essential oil for fragrance.
Method:
Just mix the course sea salt (or granulated sugar) and coconut oil in 2:1 proportions. For instance if you take 1 cup salt then take 1/2 cup of coconut oil. Add in 3-4 drops of your favorite essential oil. Whisk it up.
Transfer the scrub into an air tight jar, and that’s it.
Magnesium Foot Scrub
1 cup ofepsom salt (a natural source of magnesium) ormagnesium flakes
1/4 cupolive oil or almond oil
1 teaspoonliquid castille soap
Optional: 10-15 drops ofessential oil of choice
In a small bowl, mix all ingredients and add essential oils or scents until desired scent is achieved.
Store inan airtight jar and use a teaspoon sized amount to exfoliate feet or body as needed.
Rinse after use.
