I am afraid to wear white out till this day. I just fear that at the end of the day I would look like I rolled in mud. I may be exaggerating a bit but one of my worst fears is messing up my outfit. Stains on clothes definitely do not say chic and sophisticated.
The absolute worst places to get food stains are at work, on a date, at a wedding you name it. Places where you need to grab a bite and still look put together.
When I started researching quick ways to remove stains, I found the oddest items can be used like corn starch and hydrogen peroxide but really who goes around with stuff like that in their bags?? Hey if you do more grease to your elbow.
Food Stains
I am just going to highlight the easiest quickest solutions
Tea/ Coffee
Run to the bathroom and rinse thoroughly with hot water. You may be lucky and this is all you may have to do then stand in front of the hand dryer for some minutes. If this doesn’t work use a little hand soap to wash off the stain before drying.
Chewing Gum
I hope it is yours. Either way just allow it to harden as much as possible so you just scrape off.
Peanut Butter
I am assuming you packed yourself a sandwich to work. You should use a detergent or wash as soon as possible
Red Wine
Use this opportunity to order another glass or bottle, this time white wine. Pour some white wine on the red wine stain and wait five minutes. You could also use salt. If this fails it is off to the bathroom with you.
Ketchup
Assuming you are at a restaurant when this happens ask for vinegar. Allow to soak then rinse.
Baby food
You know how that happens so easily. Scrape as much as possible then dab the spot with a damp cloth.
Chocolate
Use paper towels to dab off and clean the area then it is off to the bathroom with you.
Oils
You should be very careful when eating anything oily. I know this is crying over spilt milk. Use talcum powder to soak up the oil then use washing liquid.
